Meet our new CFO, Tina McCrory

I’m very pleased to announce the hiring of our new Chief Financial Officer, Tina McCrory. Today is her official first day! Tina has an unsurpassed level of knowledge and experience in healthcare, behavioral healthcare, finance and operations across the State of Colorado.

She brings more than 35 years of experience in advancing mental health, substance use, and physical health organizations. Tina has an MBA in finance (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado State University. Her nearly 25-year experience as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer for Behavioral Health Organizations (BHOs) and Regional Accountable Entities (RAEs) has allowed her to develop close relationships with State leaders and demonstrate her passion for quality, accessible health care by expanding programs and securing increased funding.

Tina McCrory - Chief Financial OfficerThroughout her career, Tina has applied a diligent review process to improve the financials of each organization she has served. This includes in-depth and extensive Board presentations and successfully meeting or surpassing all audits and regulatory requirements.

Her work has covered 60 of the 64 counties in Colorado, including Larimer County. Tina’s efforts have significantly increased revenue for Behavioral Health Centers by navigating the complexities of recent payment reform and applying her knowledge from her time as Chief Business Development Officer for the Behavioral Health Center in Pueblo.

Tina has been a leader in the integration of behavioral health, physical health, and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment through a variety of projects, including the adaptation of SUD to the Medicaid benefit, expansion of Crisis Programs, leading the State Coding Committee, and championing performance improvement and whole-person care. I am thrilled to welcome her as SummitStone continues to expand our presence, reach and partnerships to provide unsurpassed care.

From Tina: I am so excited to join SummitStone Health Partners and hope to quickly contribute value. I’ve already worked with many of the great teams here on several statewide initiatives, and I look forward to furthering the success of this amazing organization.

I hope to bring further collaboration and resources to the organization and communities we serve. With my experience in and knowledge of the healthcare system as a whole, and its funding mechanisms in particular, my goal is to continuously seek out and present opportunities in the evolution of healthcare to the leadership, Board, and employees to promote our continued and advanced success.
